I graduated from the University of Georgia with a BFA in Graphic Design and my work reflects my graphic design background. I am inspired by patterns and colors in nature as well as the "No Fear!" playfulness of my art students. Their bold strokes and bright palettes are charged with energy and are a joy to behold. As Picasso once said, "It takes a long time to become young." The art that stands out to me evokes an emotional response and when I can connect my painting to the story of another, it is one of my greatest joys as an artist. I enjoy working in a variety of mediums: oils, acrylics, gouache and pastel.
